Come and join Captain Matt on an unforgettable sail on the iconic yacht Starsand.
Starsand is a 65-foot ketch-rigged luxury yacht, handsomely crafted from timber and brass. Starsand is the only yacht of its kind operating as a charter vessel on the WA coast. She has graced the shores of the South West, Fremantle, Broome, the Kimberley coast all the way to Darwin. Each year Starsand sailed with the seasons up and down Western Australia’s spectacular coastline.
Now she is run by Adventure Sailing, taking guests on everything from day charters in Geographe Bay in the summer, Abrolhos island live aboard sailing adventures in the winter, and is also used a living classroom for our 10 day live aboard Coxswain trips. (Commercial maritime training)
THE YACHT…..
Starsand is 65ft (or 20m) long. She has a large centre cockpit and a huge shaded raised seating area for guests to lounge on while sailing or at anchor. She is Ketch rigged, meaning she has a mizzen (aft) mast and main mast. Inside there is an interior helm station, a lounge complete with mini bar, huge commercial galley, full bathroom, a double guest cabin, and a V-berth cabin with four bunks. Aft of the helm station is a crew cabin and a luxurious double master cabin compete with ensuite.
